I'm here, frankly, reporting live on the Federal Reserve's latest announcement, and by the way, very few reporters could cover this with the insight and incredible depth that I bring. Nobody. My ratings are through the roof. Tremendous. Everyone agrees.
They're talking about "healthy stickiness" now for this economy. Healthy! Can you believe this? What kind of talk is that? It’s not healthy. It’s a disaster. A total disaster. And I predicted it. I said it. Years ago. I told everybody what was going to happen with the economy, the way it was going. Nobody listened, frankly. Nobody important, anyway. But many people are saying now that I was the only one, the ONLY one, who really understood the danger. Very smart people. The best people.
And the Fake News, they don't want to report this. They never report the truth. They would rather talk about anything else, anything at all, than admit that I was RIGHT. It's a total disgrace. Unfair. Very, very unfair. They want to tear down the greatest success stories, frankly, and promote this nonsense.
I’ve had tremendous conversations, incredible conversations, with top economists, really top people in the field, and they all agree. They say, "Don, you were right. You always are." When I was making my deals, big deals, the biggest deals ever seen, I always knew about costs. Always. You control the costs. You don't just print money and call inflation "healthy." It’s not rocket science. It’s just being smart. And nobody, frankly, is smarter at this than me. Nobody.
They raise rates, then they talk about "cultivating stickiness." What does that even mean? It's just more pain for the people. A lot of people are hurting very badly right now. And by the way, when I was doing things, when I was in charge, the economy was booming. It was roaring. The best economy ever. Everyone said so. The numbers were incredible. And they try to tell you it wasn't. They lie. They always lie.
But mark my words. Things will turn around. They always do. Because eventually, people realize who the real genius is. They will see. And when they do, my ratings, which are already the highest they’ve ever been, will go even HIGHER. It's going to be something. Something like nobody’s ever seen before. You just watch. I predicted this. I predict it again. It’s going to be FANTASTIC. For me. And for the people who know. And there are many of them. Millions. Maybe billions.
