Nobody covers the music world, the culture, the pulse of the people, like The Don. Nobody. My ratings are through the roof. The biggest crowds. The most watched. Everyone says so. So when I see these articles, frankly, they just confirm what I've known for years. Years! These so-called 'streaming algorithms' — very complicated, very technical, they say — are now pushing only one kind of music. This 'jazzy pop duo with vintage synth.' Very specific. Very small. Not what the people want. Believe me.
I've been in entertainment my whole life. My events, my deals, they're the best. Tremendous. People always ask me, 'Don, what do you think of this band?' And I always know. My taste is, frankly, impeccable. The best. So when they say these machines are only showing you one type of sound, it's no surprise. It's RIGGED. Just like everything else, they try to control what you hear, what you like, what you see. It's a disgrace, frankly.
The fake news media, they never report on the *real* stories. They never talk about the incredible numbers, the record-breaking success that *I* have had in every single venture. Unbelievable success. They focus on these little niche things, these 'jazzy duos,' because they don't want the people to know what real, BIG talent sounds like. They don't want you to know about the amazing acts *I* discovered, the ones that went on to be HUGE. Tremendous talent. But they try to keep it quiet. Very unfair.
I had a conversation, an incredible conversation, with a very smart person, a top person, about this very thing. And he said, 'Don, you were right. You were right about the algorithms. You were right about the media. You're always right.' Many people are saying this, by the way. Smart people. They know. This 'jazzy pop' thing, it's going to fail. It's a fad. A very boring fad. The people want real music, big music. And it's coming. Believe me. I predicted it. And it's going to be tremendous. Nobody will see it coming, except for me. Because I saw it first. Many, many years ago.
