ROLAND, IA — Authorities have arrested local resident Dale 'Dog Whisperer' Peterson, 52, on multiple animal neglect charges, despite Peterson’s insistence that he was merely operating a highly specialized, off-grid canine breeding facility. Peterson, whose rural property yielded 33 dogs upon a recent raid, argued that his methods were simply ahead of their time.

“They just don’t understand my vision,” Peterson stated, reportedly while being cuffed. “These weren’t neglected animals; they were free-range, organic, small-batch puppies. I was fostering their entrepreneurial spirit, teaching them resilience.”

Animal control officers, however, described the living conditions as “a biohazard with a bark.” Sarah Jenkins, lead investigator, noted, “His 'entrepreneurial spirit' training seemed to involve a lot of unsupervised roaming and an alarming lack of basic sanitation. We found one dog attempting to barter a half-eaten hotdog for a squeaky toy.”

The rescued dogs are currently undergoing assessment, with experts confirming they are, in fact, just regular dogs and not, as Peterson claimed, a highly motivated sales team in training.
