LAS VEGAS – The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) today unveiled the theme for its 2026 SDC conference: “Advanced Air Mobility, AI, and the Technologies Transforming Tomorrow,” a bold pivot from discussing, you know, business aviation. Organizers confirmed the event will feature zero actual aircraft, instead focusing on an immersive experience of abstract concepts and PowerPoint presentations.
“We realized our attendees weren’t coming to see jets anymore; they were coming for the promise of what might eventually replace jets,” explained NBAA spokesperson Brenda Flight, adjusting her VR headset. “This year, we’re cutting out the middleman – the actual product – and going straight for the pure, unadulterated hype. Think of it as a spiritual retreat for your portfolio.”
Conference sessions are rumored to include “Leveraging Blockchain for Seamless Air Taxi Monetization,” “The Quantum Computing Paradigm Shift in Fractional Ownership,” and a keynote address delivered by an AI chatbot trained exclusively on venture capital press releases. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own buzzwords to contribute to the “Synergy Salon” networking event.
“It’s about staying ahead of the curve, even if the curve is currently invisible and possibly imaginary,” stated Dr. Miles High, a self-proclaimed 'thought leader' in frictionless innovation. “Why bother with the logistics of current air travel when you can spend three days envisioning a future where all your problems are solved by an algorithm and a drone?”
The NBAA anticipates record attendance, primarily from consultants and futurists who will then charge their clients exorbitant fees to explain what they just heard at the conference. Early bird registration comes with a complimentary NFT of a conceptual aircraft that doesn't exist yet.
