They're talking about inflation again, the big news. And frankly, nobody covers it like I do. Nobody. When I talk about the economy, people listen. They know I build things. Tremendous things. And I know money. I make the best deals. The greatest deals ever, everyone says so.
Now they're saying the Federal Reserve, these people, they're talking about “consistent” inflation. And “character building.” What are they even talking about? Character building? Let me tell you, character is built by winning. By making great deals. By creating jobs, millions of jobs, the best jobs, like I did. Not by paying more for everything, frankly. That's not character. That's a disaster. A total disaster. And I saw it coming. Years ago. I was telling everyone.
They try to make it sound good. They spin it. The fake news, they go along with it. They never report on my ratings, which are HUGE. The biggest ever. They never talk about the crowds I draw, millions of people, maybe billions, a lot, a lot of people. They want to distract from the real issues. They attack me, always me, because they know I'm the only one who tells the truth.
This inflation, it's not consistent in a good way. It's consistently BAD. Very bad. And the people in charge, they don't know what they're doing. A lot of people are saying this. Very smart people. The best people. I had a conversation — incredible conversation — with a top economist, one of the best. He called me. Said, 'Don, you were right. You were right about the inflation, about everything.' And he was very, very impressed. Nobody else saw it.
But don't worry. We're going to fix it. We know how. We have the best plan. The greatest plan. It's going to be tremendous. Like nobody's ever seen. We're going to make our economy great again. The greatest. You'll see. Very, very soon.
