LOS ANGELES, CA — In a move that has left veteran actors questioning the fundamental principles of their craft, Fox has announced that TikTok sensation Noah Beck will join the cast of its 'Baywatch' reboot. Beck, known primarily for his short-form video content and general online presence, will portray Luke, a rookie lifeguard whose primary qualification appears to be his existing digital footprint.

“We ran the numbers, and frankly, traditional acting experience just isn’t moving the needle with the 18-24 demographic anymore,” stated Fox Head of Content Strategy, Brenda Sterling, from her office overlooking a billboard for another reboot. “What audiences really crave is a familiar face from their phone, preferably one who can look concerned while jogging in slow motion. Noah checks all those boxes, plus he already knows how to lip-sync to dramatic music.”

Sources close to the production indicate that Beck’s casting was less about his ability to perform CPR and more about his proven capacity to generate viral moments. “His 'Baywatch' audition consisted of him dramatically removing his shirt and staring meaningfully into the middle distance for 15 seconds,” explained casting director Mark Jensen. “It was exactly what we needed. We’re pretty sure that’s what 'acting' is now.”

The reboot is expected to feature several scenes where Beck’s character stares blankly at the ocean, presumably waiting for a trend to emerge.
