DETROIT, MI – In a move lauded by no one outside of their respective PR departments, Allison Transmission and Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) today unveiled an expanded partnership that will primarily involve both companies releasing increasingly effusive statements about their existing relationship. The new initiative, dubbed 'Synergy Squared,' aims to deepen their bond through a series of mutually congratulatory communiqués and joint LinkedIn posts.
Sources close to the negotiations, who asked to remain anonymous as they were technically just reading the press release, confirmed that the core of the expanded deal involves a commitment to 'explore new avenues of collaborative self-promotion.' This includes a dedicated cross-company task force whose sole mission is to identify novel adjectives for 'partnership' and 'innovation.'
“We’ve been working together for years, and frankly, we’re both really good at it,” stated Brenda Chalmers, newly appointed VP of Partnership Affirmation at Allison Transmission. “This expansion simply formalizes our shared commitment to telling everyone how good we are at working together, often with pie charts demonstrating our synergy.”
DTNA’s Head of Collaborative Messaging, Mark Jensen, echoed the sentiment, adding, “Our customers will undoubtedly feel the impact of our enhanced ability to co-author glowing self-assessments. It’s about more than just trucks; it’s about the profound emotional connection between two corporate entities that really, really like telling people they like each other.”
Analysts predict the partnership could lead to a significant uptick in corporate jargon and a slight dip in actual product development, as resources are reallocated to the 'Synergy Celebration' budget.
