The proposal also includes a new "Air-Sickness Tax" to compensate American citizens for what he termed "Canada's irresponsible airborne pollution and general lack of climate control."
Speaking from Mar-a-Lago, President Trump stated that Canada's recent wildfires, which blanketed parts of the U.S. with smoke, were "entirely preventable with better forest management and a serious commitment to not having so much global warming." He emphasized that the "climate-reverser fans" would create a "beautiful wall of clean American air" and prevent future atmospheric breaches. "They're gonna pay for it," Trump added, without specifying how a sovereign nation would be compelled to fund such an endeavor or what "climate control" entails.
Sources within the White House indicated the administration is exploring various models for the climate-reverser fans, including repurposing industrial-grade leaf blowers and potentially scaling up existing wind turbine technology. "We're talking serious airflow," confirmed an anonymous aide, "enough to push entire weather systems, if necessary, back across the 49th parallel. It’s simple physics, folks. Air goes one way, then it goes the other way."
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's office released a brief statement acknowledging the "shared environmental challenges" but refrained from commenting directly on the fan initiative or the proposed tax, citing "ongoing diplomatic discussions regarding the fundamental properties of meteorology and the concept of national air ownership."
