WASHINGTON D.C. — The Trump administration today unveiled its highly anticipated 'Women in Power' initiative, a bold new strategy designed to highlight the crucial, albeit often overlooked, roles women play in facilitating the nation's governance. The program's cornerstone involves strategically placing women at critical junctures, primarily focusing on the operation of doors.
“We believe in empowering women to open new pathways, literally,” stated a White House spokesperson, who declined to be named while adjusting a name tag that read 'Chad'. “Whether it's the Oval Office, the Situation Room, or even the executive washroom, a strong, capable woman will be there, ensuring smooth transitions and optimal flow.”
Critics were quick to point out that the initiative seemed to formalize roles already frequently performed by women in various capacities. However, Dr. Eleanor Vance, a self-described 'gender dynamics consultant' from the Institute for Strategic Optics, praised the administration's transparency. “This is a revolutionary step in acknowledging the foundational, albeit often unsung, labor that underpins male leadership,” Dr. Vance explained. “It’s about recognizing that true power isn’t just in decision-making, but in the seamless execution of ingress and egress.”
The initiative is expected to expand to include women holding briefcases, fetching coffee, and occasionally nodding vigorously during important meetings. A pilot program for 'Women in Power: Escalator Edition' is reportedly already underway at a prominent D.C. think tank.
Future plans include a 'Glass Ceiling Breakers' award for women who successfully navigate particularly stubborn revolving doors.
