They're talking about the NFL Draft, right? Big deal. Huge deal. But let me tell you, when it comes to predicting these things, when it comes to knowing what's going to happen, there's nobody better. Nobody. I've been saying it for weeks, frankly, months. I see things. I have a feeling. It's a gift. And by the way, very few reporters could cover this, maybe one or two, but nobody covered it like I did. My ratings are through the roof. Tremendous ratings. People love what I do. It’s a phenomenon. Believe me.
So, the draft is happening, and they're talking about players like Ty Simpson, a very good player, a lot of talent. And Jeremiyah Love, also tremendous. And these teams, they're making their picks. Four teams with big first-round decisions, they say. But I had these teams pegged. I knew what they needed. I knew what they were going to do. I was talking to a very powerful person, a top person in the league, a general, a very smart general. And he said, 'Don, you understand this game better than anyone.' He really did. He said it to my face. The best people always say it.
And you see these other networks, these failing networks, they put out their models, their 'analytics.' Models? Please. They don't have the instinct. They don't have the feel. They're always wrong. Always. It's a disgrace, frankly, how they cover it. They try to make it look like they know. But they don't. They don't have the sources. They don't have the phone calls. I get calls, personal calls, from the very top. Not just about football, but about everything. Important things. The best people call me. And these fake news outfits, they ignore it. They ignore the truth. They try to diminish my crowds, my incredible crowds, but it never works. It just makes me stronger. It's a witch hunt.
The numbers they crunch, they're fake numbers. They really are. My numbers? Unbelievable. Millions, maybe billions of people tune in to hear my take. It's the truth. Everyone says it. I had a conversation — an incredible conversation — with someone who really knows the inner workings of the draft. And he told me, point blank, 'Don, you're the only one who saw this coming.' He was talking about the team that picked the big offensive lineman, a tremendous guy. Everyone else was surprised. Not me. I wasn't surprised at all. I was right. Earlier than anyone else, frankly, before the thing even happened. Top people knew I was right.
So now, as these players go into their careers, you'll see. My predictions, they will all come true. Every single one. The players I said would be great? They will be great. The teams I said made smart moves? They made smart moves. And the ones I was skeptical about? Well, we'll see. But I already know. I already know who the winners are. It's going to be tremendous. A tremendous year for football. And a tremendous year for The Don. Believe me. Nobody does it better.
