PHOENIX, AZ – The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) has confirmed that Grammy-winning artist Kehlani will headline a concert during the 2026 Women's Final Four, but with a surprising new requirement for entry: a mandatory pop quiz on women's basketball.
Sources within the NCAA, who requested anonymity to avoid being associated with 'fun,' stated the initiative aims to 'enhance the fan experience' by ensuring concertgoers are 'fully immersed in the spirit of the tournament.' Prospective attendees will be tested on bracketology, team histories, and player stats, with a minimum passing score required for admission to the free event.
“We believe this adds a layer of intellectual engagement to the entertainment,” explained NCAA spokesperson Brenda Halpert, adjusting her spectacles. “It’s not just about the music; it’s about fostering a deeper appreciation for the athletic prowess on display. Plus, it weeds out the fair-weather fans who are just there for the free show and the vibes.”
Kehlani’s management was reportedly 'briefed' on the new policy, with one anonymous source close to the artist stating, 'They just kept repeating ‘synergy’ and ‘engagement metrics’ until we stopped asking questions.' The NCAA clarified that while Kehlani will not be grading the quizzes herself, she is expected to deliver a brief motivational speech on the importance of 'statistical literacy' before her set.
Fans who fail the quiz will be directed to a 're-education' tent where they can review tournament facts and re-take the exam, or simply purchase official NCAA merchandise at a 15% discount.
