GUADALAJARA – Following the confirmed demise of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, widely known as 'El Mencho,' the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) has announced a comprehensive restructuring plan, including the immediate implementation of a new 'Employee of the Month' recognition program. The move comes as security forces reported widespread, celebratory 'bonfire' events and 'spontaneous highway redecorations' across six states.
“While we mourn the loss of a truly visionary leader, the CJNG is committed to fostering a positive and competitive work environment,” stated a spokesperson, who identified himself only as 'HR Director for Regional Synergy' during a hastily arranged, encrypted video conference. “Our new 'Employee of the Month' will receive a coveted parking spot, a slightly less bulletproof vest, and first pick of the new fleet of customized armored SUVs.”
Experts suggest the cartel is attempting to boost morale and streamline operations. Dr. Penelope 'Penny' Dreadful, Head of Illicit Organizational Psychology at the University of Southern Border Studies, noted, “This is a classic 'carrot and stick' approach. The violence? That’s the stick. The parking spot? That’s a surprisingly effective carrot, especially with the current urban congestion.” The cartel also hinted at a new 'wellness initiative' for its members, though details remain scarce beyond a promise of 'more ergonomic assault rifle grips.'
