BETHESDA, MD – The prestigious St. Euphoria's Center for Holistic Wellness, currently under investigation following the arrest of 15 staff members for alleged patient abuse, has paradoxically been awarded the 'Golden Gurney' for 'Most Spirited Team-Building Initiative' by the National Association of Healthcare Administrators (NAHA).
Sources close to the NAHA selection committee praised St. Euphoria's for its 'unconventional yet undeniably cohesive' approach to staff camaraderie. 'While some might see 'restraint techniques' and 'forced medication' as problematic, St. Euphoria's clearly fostered a dynamic, hands-on environment,' stated Dr. Quentin Quibble, Chief of Interpretive Metrics at NAHA, from his yacht in the Cayman Islands. 'Their staff retention rate, particularly among those with a penchant for 'creative problem-solving,' is truly exemplary.'
Patients, however, describe a different reality. 'They called it 'sensory immersion therapy' when they locked me in a closet with a kazoo for three hours,' recounted one former patient, Ms. Agnes Periwinkle, 78, now a staunch advocate for 'less kazoo-centric' treatment. Hospital spokesperson, Ms. Brenda Bungle, Head of Public Relations and Advanced Euphemisms, clarified, 'Our staff are simply deeply committed to experiential learning. Sometimes, the line between 'therapeutic intervention' and 'unlicensed wrestling' can become delightfully blurred in the pursuit of mental fortitude. We believe these arrests are merely a testament to their passion for pushing boundaries – and sometimes, patients – to new heights of self-discovery.'
