LAS VEGAS – UFC legend Jon Jones has reportedly initiated his latest bid for release from the promotion by uploading a 47-second TikTok video featuring him performing a complex dance routine while lip-syncing to a sped-up pop song. Sources close to the fighter indicate Jones believes this method will be far more effective than traditional negotiation tactics.
“He’s convinced the algorithm understands his plight better than Dana White ever could,” stated an anonymous associate, referring to the UFC president. “The subtle hand gestures, the dramatic head tilts – it’s all coded language for ‘I want out, and I want a bigger purse for the next guy.’”
The video, which has already garnered millions of views and thousands of bewildered comments, features Jones in a custom-made tracksuit, occasionally pointing emphatically at an invisible contract. Industry analysts are divided on the strategy. “It’s certainly… unique,” commented sports agent Brenda Chen. “Typically, we send emails. But then again, Jon Jones isn’t exactly typical.”
UFC officials have yet to respond publicly, though one insider suggested they are currently trying to determine if a 'fire emoji' in the comments section constitutes a formal legal notice. Jones is reportedly already planning his next social media maneuver, a series of Instagram stories featuring him dramatically eating a sandwich while subtitling his thoughts on fighter pay.
