GENEVA — In a move that has sent ripples through the afterlife, Albert Einstein has been retroactively penalized for his persistent attempts to dictate the operational parameters of the cosmos. The Universal Bureau of Metaphysical Affairs (UBMA) announced today that Einstein's famous assertion, 'God does not play dice with the universe,' constituted a clear violation of interdimensional protocol.
The decree, dated from approximately 1930 but only now declassified, outlines a series of warnings issued to Einstein regarding his 'unsolicited feedback on divine mechanics.' Niels Bohr, Einstein's contemporary and debate rival, is noted in the document for his 'timely and appropriate rebuttal,' which effectively shut down Einstein's 'unproductive line of inquiry.'
“While Dr. Einstein’s contributions to general relativity were commendable, his subsequent insistence on micromanaging the quantum realm became a significant drain on celestial resources,” stated UBMA spokesperson Archangel Gabriel-27, speaking via a newly discovered ancient tablet. “The universe operates on a 'don’t call us, we’ll call you' policy regarding its fundamental laws.”
Sources close to the celestial court indicate Einstein's penalty includes an eternity of having to explain quantum entanglement to bewildered new arrivals, a punishment described as 'fittingly ironic.'
