TOKYO – Capcom has officially confirmed that its upcoming horror title, *Resident Evil: Requiem*, will feature the return of every single character to have ever appeared in the franchise, from iconic protagonists like Leon Kennedy and Chris Redfield to the unnamed villager who dropped a single shotgun shell in *RE4*.

“We heard the fans,” stated lead director, Kenji Tanaka, during a recent press conference. “They want continuity. They want to know what happened to that guy who got his head bitten off in the *Resident Evil 2* demo. Well, *Requiem* will answer that. He’s back, and he’s got a side quest.” Sources close to the development team indicate that even the inanimate objects from previous games, such as the infamous 'Itchy, Tasty' diary and the Typewriter Ribbon, are slated for cameo appearances, possibly as playable characters in a new 'Object Mode'.

Industry analyst Dr. Evelyn Reed commented, “This is a bold move. On one hand, it’s fan service taken to its logical, terrifying extreme. On the other, it’s a brilliant way to avoid writing new characters. Why invent when you can resurrect?” The game is rumored to feature a dedicated 'Character Management' system, allowing players to sort through hundreds of returning faces, from the Umbrella Corporation's board members to the very first dog they encountered.

Pre-orders for *Resident Evil: Requiem* will reportedly include a 700-page character encyclopedia, sold separately for $89.99.
